Sarah grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she discovered her love for science by participating in Science Olympiad competitions for 7 years. At URI, Sarah is a chemistry and Spanish major, and she is involved in URI’s professional chemistry fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma. In addition to Professor Huh’s lab, Sarah is also part of Professor Daniel Thomas’s group at URI.

Outside of URI, Sarah participated in the NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at the University of Utah, where she spent a summer working in Professor Shelley D. Minteer’s electrochemistry lab. It is Sarah’s intention to pursue her Ph.D. in chemistry upon her graduation this spring.
